Tour company staff was very helpful with getting emergency information from the U.S. to us, locating local cycling jerseys, describing routes, and getting bike tools we needed. Spanish people were very courteous to us as riders and the roads were in spectacular shape and clean. The accommodations were clean, modern, and much better than I had expected.

Jaime Wilson is a one-man operator for Girona Bike Tours. If you are interested in an easy-going, 1/2 day to 1 day tour outside of Girona (Spain), then I highly reccommend using Girona Bike tours. Jaime picked us up directly from our B&B on our first day, with comfort bikes ready to ride. He took us an area called ‘El Baix Emporda,’ an area of farms and medieval villages. We also visited the ruins of an ancient Roman town. The next day Jaime again picked us up for a bike ride around the area of Banyoles, and then to the ancient and beautiful village of Besalu, where we enjoyed a brief tour and refreshing beer. Jaime makes the tour special because he will cater to your wants, biking skill level, and other needs. He knows the best places to stop for a picnic, and happily changed my tire under the HOT European sun. He even arranged our B&B!
