Digngo

Digngo

This company provides high-end luxury tours with a focus on France, Spain and Italy. They are experts in each area that they tour, providing specialized excursions on each trip (balloon rides, winery visits, etc). There is a lot of personalized attention from the owner-operators, and the cuisine is very important. As they say on their site: whether you’re dining in a Michelin starred restaurant or at a local cafe which turns out to be your most unforgettable meal, you will get to sample the region's most refined cuisine along with its most rustic tradition.

The tours are small by design, with a maximum of 14 guests, and they will also create specialized custom tours for families and other groups. Many of the reviews we have received are from guests that have traveled with them guided, but the hands-on attention is equivalent of the highest end travel companies (read: Butterfied or Abercrombie).

This was our first bike tour in France and we all agreed it was amazing. Very well organized and some of the best accommodations . Our guide Sam was so easygoing and knowledgeable of the area. We enjoyed having him along for a few lunches as well. He provided a great variety of routes every day not to mention the lovely country views along the way. This was a once and a lifetime trip. We hope to plan another destination with
Dig n go in the future.

This was our third trip with DIGnGO, in Burgundy the first week of September, 2018. Previously we have done Provence and Tuscany, both in Sept/Oct. Obviously we are very happy with this company. To begin with, they use top notch accommodation, and arrange excellent dining. We like the fact alcohol is not included, because it allows one to choose both the quantity and quality. The riding routes are well chosen, and the difficulty ratings accurate. Secondly, we have been very happy with the caliber of their staff. On our first trip we had 3 guides for 8 people (4 couples), which worked out well. On our second trip in Tuscany, no one else had signed up, but they still gave us 2 guides, one for the support van and one to ride with. This time also we were on our own, and one guide was provided, someone we knew from the first trip. All these guides have been professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I will also mention that because our guide was delayed flying in from the UK, one of the owners, Kilian, drove from Geneva and picked us up on Sunday, and rode with us after depositing the luggage at the first hotel. I think this demonstrates the level of service and commitment of the company.
We know that any future biking trips in Europe will have to be with DIGnGO.

My wife and I just completed a fantastic bike trip through Normandy with Flavien Cassier, co-founder of Dig-N-Go. The well-planned, beautiful routes were complemented by the excellent historic visits and guides that were programmed in. Even better, we had ideal hotels and excellent restaurants. This was top-notch and delightful travel.

We just returned from our 4th and maybe our BEST bike trip with Digngo. We joined another couple on the Costa Brava Tour and it was PERFECT! The gorgeous scenery, luxurious accommodations, delicious food, challenging biking and diverse itinerary were awesome. However…our guides, Doug and Laurent absolutely made the trip. They were knowledgeable , professional and so personable and entertaining. We hated saying goodbye to them. We will definitely be returning for a 5th trip with Digngo next year! They never disappoint us.

I just finished a perfect and amazing 5 days trip with DigNGo in Bordeaux, France. The leaders were professional, fun and very solicitous of all my needs. All that was promised was delivered. Routes were great, hotels/food were amazing. There was only 5 in our group, so the service was very personalized. This was my very first bike tour, and I am not a cyclist, but couldn’t imagine a better company to do this with. Highly recommended.

Our family had an excellent tour with Dig’n’go and I would fully recommend them. The tour was perfect for our family as it was only the five of us with two wonderful guides/sherpas David and Pierre. They met us at the station and from that point all we had to worry about was getting up on time (not to early, 10am departures most mornings) Everything was taken care of with the flexibility of doing what ever we wanted because it was just our family (for example the ladies toured the village while the gentlemen climbed Mt. Ventoux with the guides, this is not on the agenda but we wanted to give it a go). This ended up one of the most enjoyable vacations we have had as a family. There was something for everyone on this trip and with the varying range of cycling skills (children ages 12 – 19yrs) David and Pierre were in the support vehicle and on the bikes handing out water and helping the stragglers up the undulating hills.

Wow…just got back from a wonderful bike trip to Provence France with Flavien and Hugo from Digngo. We were blown away by the flexibility of our guides, the personal service, the lovely hotels, fantastic and interesting meals and beautiful countryside. It was a trip customized for our family and we had a variety of levels of bikers and we all had a great time. A trip of a lifetime!

I have been on many bike tours in Europe ranging from small, almost self-guided tours to larger group tours led by established, well-known bike tour companies. Digngo offers the best of both. From the very beginning of the inquiry/planning stages, I was impressed by the responsiveness and helpfulness of the Digngo staff. Flavien and his friendly team customized one of their standard tours to fit within our time frame and meet our cycling abilities. The result was an unforgettable bike tour that was appropriately challenging and beautifully scenic, with accomodations, food, and service that were top-notch yet still within our budget. We’re already looking forward to our next trip with Digngo.

Our cycling trip to Alsace was our fifth to Europe, and by far our best. The guides at Digngo did a fantastic job at both making our trip go smoothly but adding that pesonal touch. Everything was special, the hotels were ones you’d never find on your own. The food was the best I had, and the wine was superb. I have used other bike tour groups in the past but would not hesitate recommending Digngo to anyone. We plan on going with them on another trip again in the future.

Our tour guides, Flavien and Kilian, were excellent. They adapted to our group, which was somewhat time challenged and high maintenance at times, very easily. They wined and dined us constantly and we never felt neglected. They also helped me sort through a train problem when my limited French was not working. They went to the train station and kept me from paying a reservation fee that I had already paid. They also brought a special dinner to our Villa when my daughter wasn’t feeling well. Kudos, for a job well-done!

AWESOME trip!! Our family of 5, my husband, myself and our 3 teenagers, enjoyed a VERY customized, 8-day, multi-sport, biking tour of 3 regions in France to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. From the many emails and phone calls prior to the trip, to all phases of the trip, DIGNGO provided extreme attention to detail and our needs/wants/desires, always with a cheerful attitude and fun approach. Unlike other touring companies, we were able to choose our dates, destinations, and activities to suit members of our family, and we traveled with just our family instead of a large group. Flavien and Kilian, (charming brothers!) were a ton of fun and arranged things from wine tastings, hot air ballooning, canoeing, mushroom caves, jeep rides, all 5 star accommodations ( but each unique ), incredible food and wine at every turn ( including great chocolate and snacks at totally unexpected biking breaks)…they were always there when we needed them, but never hovered. Bikes were great, local flavor was incorporated.

My husband & I have been on over 12 bicycle trips and this was our best. Flavien and his brother Kilian pay great attention to every detail from the EXCELLENT bikes, to fantastic rooms at select hotels, to Michelin star restaurants. We did a ‘self-guided’ tour which was really a custom ‘we are here whenever you need us’ tour. They were at every turn that might be a problem on the GPS system, picked us up when we were tired, arranged private tours of great wineries with the owners, drove us to dinner if it was out of town, and turned up with a bottle of cremant and snacks in the the middle of a vineyard on a particularly hot day. We cannot say enough great things about this team.

They do everything in their power to make your experience memorable. They pick regions with much thought and care and take you to the most beautiful hotels and top restaurants. I highly recommend taking this trip if you love fine food, amazing wine, and beautiful scenic bike tours. I cannot wait to book another trip!!

This is truly a gourmet bicycle tour in every sense. The knowledgeable guides, who couldn’t be nicer, took us on wonderful back roads through the countryside. Dinners were beyond outstanding and accommodations equally great. The personalized attention from this smaller company was wonderful.

The Tuscany tour was the trip of a lifetime. We were there during a heat wave in Italy, and one highlight was Flavien surprising us with ice for our water breaks – a lifesaver! We had winery tours, a cooking class, and a mid-day stop at a pottery studio in the hills, where they send your purchases back to your home country. Flavien and Kilian were so well-organized, and so much fun to ride with. We were really impressed with the accommodation they provided. We can’t wait for another trip with DignGo.

Amazing trip. We were worried because DigNGo wasn’t a big company, but we chose them for the cost & benefit (best hotels for the lowest price among peers). Trip was amazing. Small groups and excellent guides always available to help. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Incredible Cycling and Touring experience. Maggi designed a custom trip based on my schedule and desire to see Andalucia, base out of Granada and ride a lot of miles to train for upcoming riding season. Dean took me on 4 days of riding outside of Granada, 55-65 miles per day and it was fantastic. Each route was different but incredibly beautiful. We ate lunch in roadside cafes. Country was more beautiful than I ever imagined. We rode through areas that looked like Northern California wine country, and other areas like Northern Arizona and the occasional 800 year old Castle. This is the way to see Spain and ride the smoothest roads I have ever been on. Spanish people are very nice and used to cyclists, never felt unsafe, most roads were deserted. Dean was the perfect cycling coach and tour guide. Can’t stop telling friends about it who I hope to bring with me next time.

We went on the Tuscany trip in 2012 and had the most incredible and enjoyable time! The routes were beautiful. The accommodations were superb and well researched. The side tours were enjoyable and added fun and value. The food, wine and cultural experience was wonderful. The bikes were in great shape and we had no difficulties throughout the trip. This was by far one of the best and most enjoyable vacations we have had. Flavien and Killian were excellent guides and hosts. Bravo! We will be planning another trip soon.

We just finished a 5 day tour of Provence. The elements that made the trip were two guides that were knowledgeable and engaging.. very experienced in cycling ang great to be with. We ended up with just the two of us on this trip, so we got a private experience. The company is known for smaller groups. The bike routes were outstanding and well researched, and a great variety in physical challenge and mostly low traffic. Accommodations and restaurants were extraordinary. Looking forward to doing it again. Picnic, wine tastings, olive oil tastings… all extraordinary!

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with DigNGo and our Tuscany biking experience. Our guide was more like a personal concierge. He guided us through the country side at the perfect pace allowing us to absorb the breath taking scenery. The villa choices to stay were great and not only were the surroundings picturesque, but the food & service were first class.

Our cycling trip to Piedmont with Digngo was one of the best weeks of my life. Every detail was planned meticulously: beautiful cycling routes, wonderful restaurants (both michelin and unique local spots), and the best hotels in the region. Most importantly, the guides were truly exceptional. They are incredibly hard-working, conscientious, detail-oriented, funny/friendly, and on and on. I cannot speak highly enough about them. Conclusion: I can’t wait to go on another Digngo adventure!
