Buckeye Country Roads Bicycle Tours

Buckeye Country Roads Bicycle Tours provide a gateway to the best of cycling in Ohio. This region has much of what we typically look to Europe for, at a fraction of the cost: lovely roads and scenery, great Inn-to-Inn cycling with overnights at delightful resorts, lodges and hotels. They travel in intimate small groups. The tours include daily wine and cheese receptions, and personal Garmin GPS devices for daily navigation. From their site: " ... Midwest hospitality, and many many places to stop and smell the roses and explore Ohio as you've never see it! Whether it's the beauty of Lake Erie's islands, the lush vineyards of the Grand River Valley, or the Amish countryside of the largest Amish community in the world, let us be your guide through the scenic beauty of Ohio.

What better way to tour parts of Ohio, than on a bike. We had a great time on the 2 trips we took with Buckeye Country Roads. We met some really nice fellow cyclists who we now can call friends. We would highly recommend this company if you want to see some beautiful areas of Ohio.

I rode the Amish Country Adventure. It was a great ride and Buckeye Country Roads took a personal interest in everyone and did all possible to make sure all went well. Compared to other tours I have been on it was also a very good value. I will definitely go on another of their tours and highly recommend them.

We did Erie Shores with BCR. The tour price was reasonable for the nice accommodations and added ferry rides. The routes always included some educational/interesting sites to visit, and always wineries. The tour directors know the area well and directed us to some small hidden sites to enjoy. The small group of 15 allowed for very personalized service, including picking up our wine purchases at each winery. Nice job.

I’ve taken two of their tours as a single and enjoyed them very much. They cover every detail, even providing updated GPS routes when last-minute changes are necessary. Service is impeccable with a friendly tone, and we all look forward to the daily wine & cheese reception. The guides take turns riding and driving a vehicle, so by the end of the tour we all know each other as cyclists and fellow travelers.
